human safety

Handle with care—glass is fragile! Stained glass is made with lead solder. It can only harm you if ingested, so wash hands after handling and don’t serve food off of (or lick) any stained glass work.

Keep out of reach of pets and kids.

plant safety

Stained glass planters are safe for plants that you don’t intend to eat (ie, decorative houseplants—but not herbs). Note that solder (the metal lines connecting the glass) will oxidize faster since these pieces are exposed to water - you can always polish them back up, but personally I think the patina that comes with age is part of the stained glass vibe.

care & cleaning

Do not use Windex or any cleanear that contains ammonia! To clean, buff gently with a microfiber cloth and, if needed, Pledge. The solder will age and patina over time. This is part of the charm of stained glass!

I strongly suggest NOT hanging your piece with suction cups, as these will eventually fail. I recommend using cup hooks which screw in.
